The Coffee Shop Effect

For me, getting out of the office to a local coffee shop gives energy! There are people moving in and out having random conversations that mean nothing to you. Motion creates emotion, at least in my case!

Changing our idea of a typical work day can help tap a new source of inspiration, productivity and achievement. There is tremendous opportunity for the individuals and organizations who do this.

Also, as much as the local coffee shop offers up a pot full of energy in the room it also offers privacy. I can sit working for hours and have not one person that I know walk in the door.

So if you are looking for a one to three hour power session then a coffee shop could be your best outlet. But the list doesn’t stop there: rotating meeting rooms, desks, using co-working facilities, trying the home office. Mixing up where you work promises to pay dividends.
